SalvationDATA Are always Together With Our Customers

On April 6th, 2009, a massive earthquake struck Abruzzo region of central Italy during the night, leaving at least 200 people dead. That day will hence be the unforgettable moments for Italian people as dozens of dead and thousands of homeless people suffered this unprecedented disaster.

That disaster also stuck SalvationDATA badly as we have many good and loyal customers from Italy. They are not only customers, but our friends and partners. We are deeply concerned about the present situation and rescue operations, and extremely worried about the enormous pains suffered by the people in the earthquake-stricken areas. By Emails, phone and other possible ways of communication, we contacted all the customers in Italy and expressed our deep mourning to the victims in this earthquake and our consolation to family members of the victims and the injured people.

With the support of SalvationDATA and all Chinese people, We trust that they can tide over all difficulties as we all know that all the Italians are strong-willed and of great solidarity. We also hope people in the earthquake-stricken areas can return a stable life in an early date and rebuild their homeland.

All Italian customers have been playing an important role in the process of development and improvement for SalvationDATA products and service. Many loyal customers present their ideas on our tools improvement, share their experience and introduce our tools to be worldwide used and accepted! 1. New feature: Drive Cache Repair has been appended. Drive cache malfunction has been a typical problem for Maxtor HDD and Seagate Barracuda 7200.7 and 7200.11 HDD, which manifests itself as the following: Hard drive can be detected normally, but any attempt to access the data area return with error. In some cases, users may avoid this problem by trial and error, such as reverse imaging to extract data, but most of the time it doesn’t work. This new feature corrects the cache problem and it works for most of these kinds of errors.

2. New feature: RAID recovery utility is appended. More details.

3. New feature: Recovery from Image File has been appended. This feature allows users to open an drive image in the program and recover data directly from the image.

4. Head Map Creation Error (Code 01) configuration limitation has been removed. Details about this limitation here.

“Upgrade my Data Compass Standard to Data Compass Premium for free” Project launched!

The new Data Compass Premium with the RAID Recovery Add-On has been released today. From now on, Data Compass will be offered to our customers in 2 different versions- Standard (without RAID recovery add-on) and Premium (with RAID recovery add-on)- in different prices. However, to show our acknowledgment to the continued support from our customers, all Data Compass purchased before April 2nd, 2009, which is the release day of the add-on, can be upgraded from Standard to Premium free of charge, it only requires users to spend several minutes to finish a simple application.
